General

Bow Community Primary School is where your child is encouraged and helped to aim for excellence in a warm and friendly atmosphere for learning. We are proud of our school: its success is due to children, parents and friends, staff and governors working and learning together. The high quality of staff and their deep understanding of how children learn ensures that each pupil's skills whether academic, aesthetic or athletic are given their full opportunity to develop in preparation for the future.

We have 117 pupils currently on roll, arranged into 4 classes.  Each class has the name of an animal.  Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and some year one pupils, are in Foxcubs.  Our Year 1 and 2 pupils are in Otters; this is Key Stage 1 (KS1).  Year 3 & 4 pupils are in Hares, with our year 5 & 6 pupils in Stags - these year groups are known as Key Stage 2 (KS2).

Our school building was built in 1995, we enjoy light, spacious classrooms which look over to the hills of Dartmoor. Our school is purpose built on one level, ensuring that we are fully accessible to wheelchairs and people with disabilities.
