Vision

Our Vision:

To be an excellent school, where pupils are at the heart of everything we do, where they can respect themselves and each other, a school where pupils can Learn, Share and Enjoy.

 Ethos:

Throughout a pupil’s journey at Bow Community Primary School, we recognise that each and every child is an individual and celebrate the special talents that they bring to our school. We work in partnership with home and the wider community to help children to grow and develop as learners. We provide a fun, safe and secure learning environment where all children are entitled to develop to their fullest potential whilst taking PRIDE in all that they do. Teachers encourage children to encompass the values of the school motto by becoming ProudResilient, IndependentDetermined and Enthusiastic learners.

P.R.I.D.E.

P – our children should feel PROUD of their learning. They are encouraged to take pride in the work that they produce and take responsibility for the behaviour that they display, acting as good role models to others. They become good citizens by developing caring attitudes and respect towards themselves, other children, adults, their school and their community.

R – emphasis is placed upon each child’s personal development: self-discipline, self-esteem and RESILIANCE to ensure that they never give up and that they strive to fulfil their potential.

I – all children are offered equal access to the curriculum and staff aim to raise achievement through active INDEPENDENT learning. Independent thinking and the self-confidence to constantly challenge pupils is encouraged so that pupils become self-motivated and independent learners.

D – pupils are DETERMINED to persevere, to do their best, to try hard and to contribute to the rich variety of curricular and extra-curricular activities offered to them here at Bow CP School.

E - The school has a warm and friendly atmosphere for all who work within it and for visitors. We provide an environment in which children will feel both secure and happy, enabling them to develop effectively and feel ENTHUSIASTIC about their learning.

By the time a child leaves Bow Community Primary School, these are the attributes we wish for them to have acquired to take forward in the next stage of their journey.
