Support for Families
Emotional Wellbeing and Support
Managing emotions can be difficult at different points in life, particularly when children experience challenges at home or in the wider world.
As part of our school’s commitment to supporting children and families, we provide emotional wellbeing support in a range of ways. This includes support within the classroom, small group work and individual support where appropriate.
At times, families contact school to share concerns that their child does not seem themselves, either at home or in school. We value these conversations and work in partnership with families to support children, helping them to understand their feelings and develop strategies to manage worries and challenges.
School life is busy and active, but we also recognise the importance of taking time to pause and reflect. Children are supported to recognise, understand and talk about their emotions with trusted adults and peers in a safe and supportive environment.
If you would like to speak to a member of staff about any concerns, worries, or advice on further support, please contact the school via admin@bowcps.devon.sch.uk.
