Front Door (MASH)

The Front Door (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub – MASH) is the single point of contact for all safeguarding and child protection enquiries across Devon.

It is a multi-agency service staffed by professionals from a wide range of organisations, including the police, health and mental health services, education, children’s social care, housing, probation, early years, youth offending services, fire and rescue, and domestic abuse services.

These professionals work together to share information and assess risk, enabling the early identification of children who may be at risk of significant harm. This coordinated approach supports timely decision-making and ensures appropriate interventions are put in place to prevent further harm and safeguard children’s welfare.
