COVID Support

In the first instance, please do not send your child into school when they are unwell - we will not hesitate to contact you if your child reports that they are feeling ill.

Your child will be isolated until you collect them.

What to do if your child is sent home with COVID related symptoms

The symptoms could be:

  •          A new continuous cough
  •          A high temperature
  •          A loss of, or change in their normal sense of taste or smell

If a child reports, or it is noticed that a child has any of the above symptoms, they will be removed from the class and isolated. You will be asked to come and collect your child immediately.

You should inform school immediately of the results of the test

  •          If your child tests negative, they feel well and are symptom free, they can return to school
  •          If your child tests negative, but still has symptoms, they should stay at home until they are better
  •          If your child tests positive, they should follow the ‘stay at home: guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection (https://www.gov.uk/governemnt/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance)’ and must continue to self-isolate for at least 7 days from the onset of their symptoms and return to school, only if they do not have symptoms other than a cough or loss of sense of taste/smell.
  •          If they still have a high temperature, they should keep self-isolating until their temperature returns to normal.

Please keep school informed as to your child’s illness.  Thank you
