A good understanding and enjoyment of languages can be an enormous benefit and attribute that we work hard to instil in the pupils at Bow.
We teach French across the school and expose the children to Spanish and German in their final year at Bow in order to help prepare them for the step into Secondary School.  By giving them a greater depth and breadth of content in their Primary education we are helping to prepare the children for an easier transition to the challenges that lie ahead and generate an enthusiasm for learning languages and about the world from an early age.
In Upper KS2, pupils are given the opportunity to be supported with challenges and assignments through duolingo - an app which supports the development of language basics and allows children the opportunity to take control of their language learning and progress it even further than in the classroom.
